Sol Greenberg, 85, beloved husband of the late Rheba nee Shapass; loving father of Marlene Greenberg and Joan (the late Ron) Neiman; cherished grandfather of Cory, Abby (Fiance: Mike Sparacino) and the late Eric Neiman; dear brother of the late Aaron (Arlene) Greenberg and brother-in-law of Fred (Fran) Shapass; caring uncle of David Greenberg, Steven Greenberg and Lisa Neporent. Chapel service, Monday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org , Shriners Hospitals for Children, www.shrinershopsitalforchildren.org or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.mda.org . Sol was not just a neighbor and friend to The Scharf’s. We were like family. We spent many dinners and holidays together! Got together when we all went back to NJ. The nicest man and friend in the universe! We will all miss you 💚💚💚💚💚

Sol Greenberg was a person of immense graciousness and love. During the many years we were blessed to know each other, there was never an unkind word said about him. He touched people with his genuine and sincere caring. He was a gentleman in his business and his personal dealings. We were very privileged to be friends of Sol.
